Safety Awards - Corporate

Continuing with the Safety Awards Program introduced in 1996, the OSSGA Safety Awards recognize Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) for individual operations (i.e., division/plant) of OSSGA member companies. The format allows for each operation to be recognized for outstanding safety achievements within the overall achievements of the corporation.

The program identities 5 categories of person-hours, and recognizes companies that are accident-free I.e., zero lost time) for 3, 10, 15, 20, and 25-year benchmarks

Remember

These categories are based on each individual division/plant location;
Only the aggregate operations Rate 134 Quarries and Sand and Gravel Pit Operations) employees are to be included this excludes construction, asphalt, concrete, brick, pipe and block plants);
Person Hours: In the time period between November 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024, all employees working in Rate 134 (Quarries and Sand and Gravel Pit Operations), excluding executive, supervisory, clerical and technical personnel;
Lost Time Injury: Any injury arising out of (or in the course of) employment that causes disability one calendar day beyond the day in which the injury occurs. PLEASE NOTE: We only require the actual number of LTIs, not the number of days
