Conservation Authorities Act (CAA) Review Discussion Paper

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking to engage ministries, municipalities, Aboriginal communities, conservation authorities, stakeholders and the public in a review of the Conservation Authorities Act to ensure that the Act is meeting the needs of Ontarians in a modern context.

Conservation authorities (CA) play an important role in reviewing aggregate licence applications throughout the province. As such, it is vital that the CAA reflect the scope of the work done by conservation authorities and provide specific instruction on the roles and responsibilities of CAs in relation to the aggregate licensing process.
